SM Wilson is a professional building company that has been servicing Colchester since 1998 for both domestic and commercial clients.
Formed in 1998, we have strived for excellence in all work undertaken. Our success is built upon a skilled work force, hard work ethic and the desire to give our clients value for money. We offer a high standard, professional services providing you with all your building needs.
From your initial contact, we will arrange to visit at your convenience to view the work you require undertaking. We will then send you a completely free competitive quotation.
And we firmly believe that no job is too small!
Design to Build
Not sure where to start? You could start by giving us a call or sending us a message either via the contact form or our Facebook page. We can talk you through each stage of your building works, from plans being drawn and passed, to building regulations being submitted and approved. We can then supply you with structural engineer’s calculations. We will even contact the local authorities and deal with their paperwork so you don’t need to worry about a thing.
All of this can be costed so you will know, from start to finish, exactly how much you will be spending.
Small Building Projects
Not all extensions and conversions need full plans. We often build on a “building notice” which means you save the money on plans being drawn!

SM Wilson Building Maintenance Ltd is governed by the Federation of Master Builders. This ensures that a quality job is carried out every time. We also have comprehensive public and employer’s liability insurances.

We are accredited with the Chas accreditation. This means that health and safety are paramount on all projects with our client and staff in mind.

No money is ever taken upfront and works will only ever be invoiced at agreed stages and only ever in arrears.
